A stunning 1921 Alfa Romeo G1 will be auctioned early next year and is expected to sell for roughly $1.5 million.
The G1 is the very first model ever built by the famed Italian car manufacturer and just 52 examples were created. Extraordinarily, this very G1 is thought to be the only complete G1 that still exists.
Chassis 6018, this G1 started out life in Australia and remained in the hands of the original owner until 1965. It was then restored in the 1970s, enjoyed for three decades and then restored once again at the turn of the millennium.
Ever since, the car has toured the world and managed to beat 60 other classic Alfa Romeos in the 2005 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
