It’s been a while since we last saw the Model S P100D challenge a V12-powered supercar, and as far as the latter goes, the Ferrari FF is a good a choice as any.
It’s got 660 PS (651 HP) and 683 Nm (504 lb-ft) of torque, which play their part in taking the Italian thoroughbred from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.7 seconds, before maxing out at 335 km/h (208 mph).
This particular FF also features a set of golden Ankry wheels and an aftermarket iPE exhaust, although making more noise isn’t going to scare the P100D away, especially since this race is about which car accelerates faster, rather than which has the highest top speed.
So while the Ferrari sounds extremely menacing, the Tesla did what it does best as soon as it got off the line. In fact, its performance was impressive enough to take us back to a time before the McLaren 720S became the most exciting car in drag racing circles.
As for the FF, it did show signs of catching up to the Model S at one point, though not soon enough to change the outcome of the race.
