Police in Seville, Spain have made a bizarre discovery when they pulled over two cars filled to the brim with oranges.
Local authorities observed the two vehicles driving closely together. After attempting to pull the cars over, they quickly took off down a dirt road and a chase ensued.
After pulling the duo over, police found that both were stuffed with thousands of oranges. A short time later, a truck packed with oranges was also found. All up, there were more than four tons of the tasty fruit in the three vehicles. When quizzed about the oranges, the drivers claimed they’d come “from very far away and had been stopping and collecting oranges along the way.”
After further investigations, police discovered that the oranges had in fact been stolen from a shipment.
A couple, their adult son, and two brothers were charged with theft.
