Once billed as “the world’s fastest production sedan” by Dodge, the Charger SRT Hellcat’s has become something of a permanent fixture, in one way or another, over the past two years.
This doesn’t mean that the car is any less exciting, as it combines the four-door body of a sedan with massive power, as its 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine pumps out 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet (881Nm) of torque that are channeled to the rear axle through an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
The Charger SRT Hellcat needs just 3.7 seconds to sprint from naught to 60mph (96km/h). It can run the quarter mile in 11 seconds as well, and flat out, it will do 204mph (328km/h).
By comparison, the Ferrari 458 Italia, with its naturally aspirated 4.5-liter V8, needs 3.4sec for the 0-62mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration, before toping out at just over 202mph (325km/h).
Now that we’ve refreshed your memory on Dodge’s super saloon, let’s check out a very special example that sits on aftermarket wheels made by Vossen. Part of their HF-1 Series, and wrapped in Pirelli rubber, the rims can be had from $499 each and are available from 19- to 22-inches in size and with 2 standard and 8 custom finishes.
This Charger SRT Hellcat features some other mods as well, the most significant (and obvious) of which is the new suspension, which is so low, we doubt it will be able to run on anything but utterly smooth tarmac without scrapping its belly.
