The new Sport model of the Lexus RX has arrived in the UK, offering a more stylish take on the luxury SUV.
Just like the Sport versions of the Lexus CT, IS and NX models, the new RX Sport is packing a series of visual enhancements, along with a long list of equipment fitted as standard.
Among these enhancements, the Lexus RX Sport features a spindle grille with horizontal black fins framed in chrome and black fog light surrounds.
A set of matching black 20-inch alloys employ a twin-spoke design while there’s also new black housings for the door mirrors. The rear end gets a new black and chrome diffuser, creating a contrast with the rest of the bodywork.
Moving on inside, the cabin features an all-black theme with a leather interior, heated and ventilated power-adjustable front seats and a 12.3-inch infotainment with the company’s premium navigation system.
The new Lexus RX 450h is based on the existing Luxury grade and comes with LED headlights with automatic high beam, electrically adjustable mirrors and the company’s Safety System+ package of active safety features.
The hybrid powertrain remains unchanged, meaning a combination of a petrol 259hp 3.5-litre V6 and two electric motors, producing a combined output of 308hp. Power is sent to all four wheels via the company’s E-Four system which uses an electric motor alone to power the rear axle when necessary.
Sales of the new Lexus RX 450h Sport will begin on February 1 in the UK, with prices starting from £51,645 OTR.
