It would appear that the small European island country of Malta has been withholding something that car enthusiasts around the world might be interested in.
This deserted Subaru showroom, located in the small town of Mosta, is said to have shut down in the late 1990s according to CarsAddiction, when one of its rivals started importing similar models with improved services. As you can see, there are quite a few noteworthy models parked inside, yet none more worthy than that white XT Turbo.
The 30+ year old two door coupe still has its delivery tag on the window, which means that it could be a really low mileage model (only delivery miles). Back in the late 80s, this would have been considered a futuristic car thanks to the wedge shape styling, digital dials, air suspension and so on.
Since it could be the only brand new Subaru XT in the world, it’s conceivable that it would fetch a neat sum of money at an auction – if it ever leaves that showroom, of course.
As for all the other models, we spy a Subaru Sambar, multiple Imprezas, a Justy and the previously mentioned XT 4WD Turbo (in RHD mind you).
How much do you reckon that XT Turbo would be worth today?
Thanks to Cristian for the tip!
