UK buyers can now purchase the Alfa Romeo Giulietta in a new Sport trim which adds dynamic styling cues and enhances the model’s standard equipment levels.
The exterior gains 17″ five-hole alloys, side skirts, a front splitter and rear diffuser with red trims, rear privacy glass and extra large fog lights and exhaust tips for a more menacing look. Also new is the addition of Misano Blue as an exterior shade, otherwise reserved for the flagship Veloce spec.
Meanwhile, the interior boasts a dark headlining like on the Veloce, a techno-leather steering wheel, climate control, cruise control and a 5-inch Uconnect multimedia system with Uconnect LIVE services.
Other features include the Alfa DNA selector with Q2 electronic differential and Dynamic Steering Torque, the ESC system and Hill Holder.
There are two available power units to choose from. Priced at £20,965 is the 1.4-liter petrol version, producing 120 HP and allowing for a 0-62 mph (100 km/h) acceleration time of 9.4 seconds. Spend £22,230 and you could get the diesel-powered 1.6-liter JTDM-2 model, also with 120 horses, yet a slower 0-62 time, rated at 10 seconds flat.
This new Sport version is now the entry-level model to the Giulietta ‘Performance DNA’ range, positioned underneath the Speciale and Veloce trims.
