The GMC Yukon Denali offers a nice blend of luxury and performance but drivers looking for something more exciting might want to check out the new Callaway SC560.
Billed as a supercharged beast that can tear up any road, the Callaway Yukon Denali features a 6.2-liter V8 engine that has been equipped with a GenThree supercharger as well as a TripleCooled intercooler system which was originally developed for Callaway Corvettes. Thanks to these modifications, the output climb from 420 hp (313 kW) to 560 hp (417 kW).
Additional changes are limited but the model has also been equipped with embroidered floor mats, a specially designed key fob, and plenty of Callaway badging. Customers can also order a sport interior, a sport steering wheel, sport pedals, and 20- or 22-inch wheels.
Speaking of options, Callaway offers a Handling Package which adds stiffer sway bars and new springs which reduce the ride height by approximately two inches. Another option is the Le Mans GT Brake Package which includes aluminum calipers and 380mm slotted brake rotors.
The model pictured reportedly costs $120,000 but the Callaway SC560 Supercharged Package retails for $17,995. This suggests you could get a Callaway Yukon Denali for around $85,000 if you skip out on the other options.
According to CEO Reeves Callaway, “With a substantial boost in horsepower and a full range of custom features, the Callaway upgrades give GM SUVs additional punch, especially when it comes to towing and navigating rugged drive conditions.”
