Drawing inspiration from the highly anticipated Mercedes-AMG Project One hypercar, the 515 Project One performance boat is the ninth special edition model of its kind to be created by the two companies.
It measures 51.5 feet (15.6m) in length and has an increased beam of 9.6 feet (2.9m) that allows for 6 passengers to be seated comfortably. Its deck is constructed completely from carbon fiber, while the air intakes, which are over 7 feet (2.1m) long and 14 inches (35 cm) wide, weigh just 4.4 lbs (2 kg).
“For 11 years, Cigarette Racing has been our trusted partner that has allowed us to extend our likeminded core performance principles from the land to the water,” stated Mercedes-AMG chairman, Tobias Moers. “By directly translating Formula 1 technology from the track to the street, the Mercedes-AMG Project ONE is our most ambitious and awe- inspiring vehicle yet. It is incredible to see our vision reimagined for the water in such an impressive and highly compelling form.”
The Cigarette Racing Team 515 Project One is powered by a pair of Mercury Racing quad cam 4 valve engines and M8 stern drives, producing as much as 3,100 HP. Like with a Dodge Hellcat, the 515 will unlock more performance via key fob.
For example, the Race Key fob unlocks up to 1,550 HP, requiring race fuel, whereas the Pleasure key fob can operate the boat at 1,350 HP with 91 octane fuel.
“Whether on land or on water our discerning customers demand the absolute best, so we are extremely proud to unveil the Cigarette Racing Team 515 Project ONE. It is by far our most impressive high performance boat yet and represents a triumph of engineering that proudly reflects our unparalleled performance pedigree,” said Cigarette Racing CEO, Skip Braver.
As for the livery, it’s the same distinctive matte black and silver paint that can be found on the road-going Project One, minus the colorful wavy stripes.
