Raj Nair, Ford’s President of North America is departing the automaker effective immediately, following complaints of “inappropriate behavior” according to Ford.
Ford said in their official statement that the decision was taken after a recent internal investigation. “The review determined certain behavior by Nair was inconsistent with the company’s code of conduct,” the company said without revealing any details.
“We made this decision after a thorough review and careful consideration,” Ford President and CEO Jim Hackett said. “Ford is deeply committed to providing and nurturing a safe and respectful culture and we expect our leaders to fully uphold these values.”
In the same statement Raj Nair said: “I sincerely regret that there have been instances where I have not exhibited leadership behaviors consistent with the principles that the Company and I have always espoused. I continue to have the utmost faith in the people of Ford Motor Company and wish them continued success in the future.”
Nair held the position of Ford’s President of North America since June 1, 2017. Prior to that, he served as the company’s head of global product development, overseeing the launch of models like the Ford GT, the Focus RS, the current F-150 pickup truck and more.
