The BMW X6 might have received a mixed reaction when it was first launched due to its unusual styling, but it created the coupe SUV niche and it definitely is here to stay.
Thus, an increasing number of tuning companies continue to roll out different aftermarket upgrades for the Bavarian SUV, and Fostla is one of them.
When it arrived at the Hannover-based tuner, this X6 M50d was already wearing some parts signed by Hamann. However, Fosta believed that it would look better with a black chrome full vinyl wrap, black brushed roof, side mirror casings, door handles, and rear diffuser.
The unique exterior was complemented by a set of special wheels. Called Hamann Anniversary Evo II Black Line, they measure 10.5x-22-inch on the front and 12×22-inch on the rear axle and are wrapped in 295/30 and 335/25 tires respectively. The wheel package also includes spacer discs, and, according to Fostla, works best with a set of lowering springs.
Being an M50D means that this BMW X6 was already packing 381PS (376hp) and 740Nm (546lb-ft) of torque from the 3.0-liter tri-turbo six-cylinder diesel engine. That’s enough for a 0-100km/h (0-62mph) sprint made in a very respectable 5.2sec despite a total weight of 2,260kg (4,982lbs).
Nevertheless, with a PP-Performance Stage 1 power upgrade, along with a high-performance air filter, the unit now pushes out 443PS (437hp) and 845Nm (623lb-ft) of torque.
However, this upgrade doesn’t come cheap, as it costs around €19,000 (equal to $23,478), or the equivalent of a new VW Golf in Germany.
