Earlier this year, McLaren Special Operations unveiled the all-new MSO X.

Commissioned by McLaren Newport Beach, the limited edition models were based on the 570S and featured a multitude of upgrades inspired by the 570S GT4 race car. The ten cars were recently delivered to their owners and the dealership has released a new promotional video which gives us a better look at the high-performance models.

Since the cars were designed to resemble the 570S GT4, each has been equipped with a new hood, canards and a massive rear wing which helps to contribute an additional 100 kg (220 lbs) of downforce. The styling changes don’t stop there as the cars also have a titanium exhaust system, a roof-mounted scoop and lightweight wheels with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.

To help reinforce the racing theme, each model has exposed carbon fiber components with a satin finish. Another unique touch is the special livery package which pays tribute to the F1 GTR race cars.

Moving into the cabin, drivers will find an assortment of special touches as every MSO X has carbon fiber racing seats with four-point harnesses. The car’s carbon fiber chassis has also been left exposed and there’s a center console sourced from the 570S GT4. Last but not least, there’s a carbon fiber bulkhead which has been designed to store a helmet.

Since the cars are based on the 570S, they feature a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine that develops 570 PS (419kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque. It connected to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission which enables the regular model to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.1 seconds before hitting a top speed of 204 mph (328 km/h).
