When it was reported that Mercedes’ new compact family will have at least 8 members, we didn’t even think about associating the A-Class with the automaker’s Maybach sub-brand.
However, one rendering artist did and came up with what would be technically called the Mercedes-Maybach A-Class. Aksyonov Nikita has drawn inspiration from other Maybachs in Merc’s range, and the result is interesting, to say the least.
The blue shade appears to come straight from the Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet Concept, although this one’s matte, and so do the front grille and those eye-catching multi-spoke rims that don’t look half-bad.
Elsewhere, the digital interpretation of the latest A-Class brings a new front bumper, tweaked side skirts and a different rear bumper with a discreet diffuser incorporated into it. The ‘Maybach‘ badges and privacy windows all around complete the visual changes.
There’s absolutely no way Mercedes will associate its compact hatchback with Maybach, but what it will make is a range-topping AMG version. The upcoming A45 is expected to have more than 400hp, which would make it more powerful than some previous-gen supercars.
