Nissan’s headline acts at this year’s Chicago Auto Show are these two wild creations, dubbed the 370Zki and Armada Snow Patrol.
Evidently, it is the 370Zki which immediately catches the eye. For whatever reason, the Japanese automaker decided to turn the sports car into an oversized snowmobile.
To do so, Nissan was forced to remove the car’s entire driveline, increase the ride height by three inches and install a set of tracks from American Track Truck at the rear axle. Next, modifications were made to the front end, including the fitment of wheel spacers to allow for a bespoke pair of skis to be fitted.
The engine and transmission remain stock, meaning the 370Zki delivers 332 hp from its naturally aspirated V6.
As for the Nissan Armada Snow Patrol, it is much more restrained, but still a head-turner. Key modifications include the use of 20-inch Cognito Series 61 wheels and Pro Comp MT2 off-road tires. The suspension has also been raised at and a 12,000 lb winch is installed at the front. Other upgrades consist of custom side steps, rock sliders and a large LED light bar mounted to a bespoke roof rack.
The two concepts are reminiscent of the Pathfinder, Murano, and Rogue Winter Warrior Concepts which Nissan displayed two years ago.
