Peugeot wants to boost the appeal of the 3008 and 5008 in the United Kingdom by launching a new trim level. Called GT Line Premium, the grade is available on both models, which start from £28,590 ($39,520) for the 3008 and £30,565 ($42,250) for the 5008, and are available for order.

This represents a £2,125 ($2,937) and £1,850 ($2,557), respectively, hike compared to the equivalent 3008 and 5008 GT Line trim, but the extra equipment is valued by Peugeot at £2,720 ($3,801).

The new trim level brings a host of standard features that include keyless entry and push-button start, foot-operated electric tailgate, massage function for the driver’s seat, heated front seats, blue ambient lighting, panoramic opening glass roof and special 19-inch two-tone alloy wheels.

These add up to an already extensive list of standard features that can be found on the entry-level models, such as Peugeit i-Cockpit with 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, a 8.0-inch capacitive touchscreen and dual-zone climate control, among others.

Both SUVs can be ordered with a choice of five engines. The range starts with the entry-level 1.2-liter PureTech that puts out 130PS (128hp), and ends with the 2.0-liter BlueHDi diesel that produces 150PS (148hp).

“By adding an all-new trim level that incorporates some of the most popular features at a competitive price – and with a host of engine choices available – we’re confident that the ‘GT Line Premium’ will be a real crowd-pleaser for 2018″, said Peugeot UK’s Marketing Director, Mark Pickles.
