If you’re a fan of vans, then we have exciting news for you; a facelifted Mercedes-Benz V-Class is just around the corner.

Uncovered during a recent round of testing by our spy photographers, this V-Class prototype stands out like a sore thumb thanks to the camouflage adorning its front fascia. If Mercedes wanted to keep the identity of the vehicle a secret, it may have been better off simply removing the camo and seeing if anyone would recognize the new front bumper. Chances are, most wouldn’t.

Nevertheless, it appears as if the new bumper will incorporate restyled air intakes. Additionally, the facelifted V-Class will receive new headlights and a modified front grille. While not visible on this prototype, a different rear bumper and taillights can also be expected.

If past form is anything to go off, minor changes to the interior are also likely. It is even possible that the facelifted V-Class could become one of the automaker’s first vehicles to adopt the MBUX infotainment system premiered by the new A-Class.

In terms of engines, the 2.1-liter diesel engine of the current van is tipped to remain. Consequently, it can be expected to continue to deliver 160 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque in 220 CDI guise as well as 187 hp and 324 lb-ft in 250 d form.
