The Audi TT has often been referred to as a hairdresser’s car, but this immensely powerful example has the right ingredients to help it break the stereotype.
The exterior updates may or not be to everyone’s taste, but the aftermarket exhaust produces a menacing sound to go with the heavily tuned 2.5-liter five-cylinder.
The latter benefits from a new turbocharger, which, combined with some other work in the engine bay, helps it produce an alleged 750 horsepower. If the number is correct, then it’s about twice as powerful as the stock Audi TT-RS, and this makes it knock on the door of modern supercars, including Ingolstadt’s own R8 V10 Plus.
We’re not sure how fast it is from naught to 100km/h (62mph), but it could be in the low-3sec, given that the TT-RS, with its 400PS (395hp) and 480Nm (354lb-ft) of torque, posts a 3.7-second time.
Moreover, this heavily tuned TT is not built for show-purposes only, hence its appearance at the ‘rolling 50km/h’ (31mph) drag racing event in Germany, where it was one of the stars. So, you may want to scroll down and check out the video to see this super-TT in action.
