The Sagaris is one of those rare TVR models that you’re very unlikely to spot in traffic. It was based around the T350 and had all types of quirky air vents and intakes at its disposal, not to mention sideways-pointing exhaust tips.
This was a car designed with endurance racing in mind, which you could drive for extended periods of time without any additional mods for cooling or ventilation. Still not sold? It didn’t even feature ABS, airbags, ESP or traction control. It was all you.
As for this particular light blue example, it was captured on camera in Boulogne-sur-Mer, Northern France, by spotter Mickael-Knight-62200. Now, we just hope its driver had a permit for parking where they did.
Anyway, at its peak, the Sagaris’ 4.0-liter straight-six power unit would produce 412 PS (406 HP) and 473 Nm (349 lb-ft) of torque, at 4,500 rpm. Since the weight was a mere 1,078 kg (2,371 lbs), the Sagaris could sprint to 96 km/h (60 mph) in just 3.7 seconds. Its top speed stood at a very impressive 298 km/h (185 mph).
Oh and did we mention this had a 5-speed manual transmission? You could say it was one heck of a driver’s car, one that even Jeremy Clarkson raved about back in the day, saying it was TVR’s best ever product.
Safe to say, they really don’t make ’em like this anymore, not with all the safety regulations dictating what a supercar should or shouldn’t be.
