Koenigsegg has only made a couple hundred vehicles in its entire history. And they’ve been dispatched to well-heeled customers all around the world. But this is the first one delivered to Canada.
The white Agera RS is being showcased this week, not at the New York Auto Show, but at the one in Vancouver. After the show’s done, it’ll be delivered to its eagerly awaiting new owner in the True North, Strong and Free.
Complementing the white bodywork, the Swedish hypercar features red accents, a clear carbon strip and roof, and a red interior. Of course, like any other Agera RS, it packs a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8, good for over 1,000 horsepower. The first examples produced boasted an already-impressive 1,160 horsepower (1,176 ps/865 kW) and 940 lb-ft (1,280 Nm) of torque, but the newer versions with the 1MW upgrade from the One:1 turn those figures up to 1,341 hp (1,360 ps/1,000 kW) and 1,000 lb-ft (1,370 Nm) of torque.
The latest example produced in Ängelholm is being delivered through Weissach Performance. The dealership has showrooms in both Vancouver and Calgary, dealing as well in Porsches, Lamborghinis, and Bugattis (among others).
“This week’s show in Vancouver is a milestone, bringing the cars we build with so much passion and attention to detail here in Ängelholm to a new country for the first time,” said founder and CEO Christian von Koenigsegg. “We’re proud to have partnered with Asgar and his team at Weissach. We have another Agera RS delivery into Canada due very soon and with Regera orders into the future, we look forward to a wonderful partnership together.”
