The 2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio models picked the New York Auto Show to debut their new Nero Edizione styling package.
As the name suggest, the new package adds striking dark exterior accents to the exterior of the two Italian models. The new Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio Nero Edizione Package will be available only with the 280hp 2.0-liter turbo versions.
The new styling package’s range of dark accents includes 20-inch alloys for the Stelvio, 19-inch wheels for the Giulia, new grille surround with matching mirror caps, exhaust tips and headlamp bezels, gloss black window surrounds and Dark Miron exterior badging.
Customers who will opt for the Nero Edizione package will also get to choose between three colors for the brake calipers – black, red or yellow.
No differences under the hood
Under the bonnet lies Alfa Romeo’s turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder unit making 280hp and 306lb-ft of peak torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission is the only option, with the company claiming a 0-60mph in 5.1 seconds and a top speed of 149mph for the Giulia.
Similarly, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio will hit 60mph from a standstill in 5.4 seconds and will not stop until it hits 144mph. Both models send their power to all four corners via the company’s Q4 all-wheel drive system.
Alfa Romeo will have its entire 2018MY range on display at the New York Auto Show.
