Audi will let a few E-Tron prototypes roam on the streets of Geneva on March 5 and 6, ahead of the company’s press conference at the Swiss Motor Show.
The prototypes will roam the streets in the Geneva city center, with Audi calling fans and bystanders to take a picture of the E-Tron prototype and post it on their social media using the #etron hashtag.
The most beautiful pictures will be then featured on Audi’s special E-tron website, showing off the new electric SUV in near-production form and under a special camouflage wrap, judging from the single teaser image released by the company.
Audi’s upcoming EV was previewed by the E-Tron Quattro concept back in 2015 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The concept was powered by a trio of electric motors with a combined output of around 430hp, which can be boosted to 500hp for short periods of time. The concept was capable of a 0-62mph (0-100km/h) sprint in 4.6 seconds and had a total driving range of over 310 miles (500 km).
The German company is also planning on showing off the all-new A6 for the first time in front of the public at Geneva, where it will join the A7 Sportback and the A8 in Audi’s lineup of executive models.
Audi will hold a live press conference on March 6 at the Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned.
