One of the main issues with purchasing a luxury car in flagship trim is that you will inevitably end up comparing it to how much that same car would have cost with a lesser engine.

For example, the BMW M760i is twice as expensive as an entry-level 740i. On the other hand, as Doug DeMuro points out in his review, it does have a lot going for it. From its twin-turbo V12 that churns out 600 horsepower and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque to its luxurious and extremely advanced interior features, you would be hard pressed to find many properly competitive alternatives.

According to DeMuro, the M760i is as special as they come. He walked away extremely impressed by all the technological marvels brought forth by the flagship Bimmer, like the the smart key, gesture controls, advanced 360-degree camera system and the tablet which allows you to control just about everything.

He also enjoyed the car’s high overall comfort levels, its surprisingly good soundtrack and its straight line performance; its 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) time of 3.6 seconds is actually quicker than that of an M4.

Until now, the highest-ranking luxury saloon DeMuro has ever reviewed was the 2017 Porsche Panamera Turbo. Did the M760i manage to outscore it? Click the video below and thou shall find out.
