Dodge’s meanest street-legal vehicle ever came out last year, based on the Challenger SRT Hellcat and was named the Demon.
Made in 3,300 examples worldwide, and not coming back for the 2019MY despite increased demand from customers, it’s an insanely fast car.
Officially, it takes just 2.3 seconds to complete the 0 to 60mph (0-96km/h) sprint! It also does the quarter mile in 9.65 seconds, but to enjoy it at its full potential, one needs the Demon Crate, too.
This adds a few interesting gizmos for the very potent muscle car, such as skinny front tires, a performance air filter, a high-octane button on a replacement switch module, a performance powertrain control module with a high-octane engine calibration, and tire-pressure gauge.
The Crate also gets a torque wrench, hydraulic floor jack, fender cover, different backs, passenger mirror block-off plate and a foam case to store those front runners.
But rather than speak about it, we’d better let the team over at Hennessey Performance present it in a short unboxing video, with a couple of Challengers in the background for added effect.
And if you’re still yearning for more from your Dodge Demon, then you may want to check out the tuner’s portfolio as they have plenty of upgrades in store, including supercharger systems that lets the engine develop “from 1,000 to 1,500 horsepower and more”, in Hennessey’s own words.
