GMC is looking to provide the 2019 Terrain and Acadia crossovers with a little more personality by introducing new Black Edition versions, boasting darkened exterior styling.
Based on the automaker’s own research, roughly one in five new SUV buyers spend additional money after purchase in order to further personalize their vehicle’s appearance. By offering a blacked-out effect straight from the factory, these Black Edition models act as a direct answer to the buyer’s desire to customize.
“The new Terrain and Acadia Black Editions perfectly capture the identity of the GMC brand by offering a bold and confident exterior appearance,” stated GMC VP, Duncan Aldred. “They give our customers more choices within the premium SUV segment to distinguish their vehicle and themselves.”
The Terrain Black Edition package is available on SLE and SLT versions, and offers 19-inch gloss black aluminum wheels, darkened grille insert and black surround, black mirror caps, roof rails and additional exterior accents, black exterior model and trim badging and five exterior colors: Ebony Twilight Metallic, Summit White, Graphite Gray Metallic, Satin Steel Metallic and a new Sedona Metallic.
As for the Acadia Black Eedition (available on SLT), the package includes 20-inch machine aluminum wheels with black accents, black grille insert and surround, black headlights and taillights details, black mirror caps, roof rails and additional exterior accents, and the following exterior colors: White Front Tricoat, Dark Sky Metallic and Smokey Quartz Metallic (both new) and Ebony Twilight Metallic and Summit White, just like the Terrain.
The GMC Terrain and Acadia Black Editions will be available this summer.
