Three revealing images of the Lynk & Co 02 have been released prior to the crossover’s world debut in Amsterdam on March 26.

The 02 will act as the brand’s second model after the larger 01 SUV, and form a crucial part of the automaker’s future range of connected cars. Other models in the works include the 03 sedan and the 04 hatchback.

Like the 01, the Lynk & Co 02 is underpinned by Volvo’s CMA platform. When it hits the road, initially in China, it will be sold with a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder unit delivering 177 hp and a 2.0-liter turbo with a healthy 190 hp. Both a plug-in hybrid powertrain and an all-electric version are expected to follow shortly after the vehicle’s launch.

According to Chinese media, the 02 will measure 4,448 mm (175.1 in) long, 1,890 mm (74.4 in) wide, and 1,528 mm (60.1 in) high with a 2,702 mm (106.3 in) wheelbase. This makes the vehicle exactly 66 mm (2.6 in) shorter, 33 mm (1.3 in) wider, 145 mm (5.7 in) lower, and with a 32 mm (1.25 in) shorter wheelbase than the 01.

Looking at the teaser images, these new measurements make the 02 that little bit more visually appealing than its bigger sibling. With a roof-mounted spoiler and an aggressively-raked rear window, the crossover’s tail looks particularly appealing and has an undeniably European flair to it.

European customers can expect to find the 02 on their shores in 2019.
