Since we understand that there are multiple levels of road rage and this particular case wasn’t all that extreme, we could argue that the punishment might not have fit the crime.
The video starts off with the VW and the Jeep side by side, their drivers probably engaged in an argument over who knows what. The driver of the Golf does seem a bit more aggressive though, which in the end was his downfall.
We’ve actually seen this type of crash before, where the wheels make contact in just the “right” way, propelling one of the vehicles upwards and onto its side. It’s pretty much impossible to regain control once you find yourself on two wheels – unless you moonlight as a stuntman.
On a positive note, at least the driver of the Golf was wearing his seat belt, otherwise he might have gotten a little hurt, or bruised at the least.
We would have loved to know whether or not he calmly climbed out of the car or if he was even more angry and looking to blame the other driver for what had happened.
Either way, having something like this happen to you has to come as a huge shock, regardless of whether or not you were just a victim or indirectly asking for it by being overly aggressive in traffic.
