Scoop: The Audi TT Is Getting A Facelift For 2019MY

Audi is preparing the TT for its mid-life facelift which is expected to bring the compact coupe in line with the brand’s latest crop of models.

The refresh however will not bring any major visual updates; the lights will be redesigned all around with new LED signatures, the bumpers front and rear will be refreshed and new wheel options are going to be added in the range, leaving the popular Audi mostly unchanged, at least on the outside.

The interior will be updated with the latest version of Audi’s Virtual Cockpit, along with new trim and color choices. The current model’s cockpit is perhaps unique in the market as it doesn’t offer an extra display for its infotainment system and Audi is expected to stick with this choice for the facelifted model.

The engine range will be slightly updated to offer better fuel economy and in some cases a tad more power. The range-topping RS version will keep the turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine, which in the current model makes 395hp (400PS) and 354lb-ft (480Nm) of peak torque. Some markets might even drop the diesel-powered TT models, due to the decreasing demand.

Audi is expected to debut the facelifted TT sometime later this year and the first cars to hit the market in early 2019.
