It has become sort of a common practice for automakers to create art cars. BMW and Porsche havr been doing it for years, but they’re not the only ones.

The special R8 seen here is not the work of Audi; it was actually commissioned by ABT Sportsline and designed by film wrap specialist SIGNal Design.

Despite of the special pattern that doesn’t exactly have anything holy in it, the supercar has a weird motto: “Nun meets ABT”, with Abt standing for ‘abbot’. “It goes without saying that the sports car has a lot more to offer that could lead car enthusiasts into temptation”, explains the tuner.

ABT will have the Audi R8 art car on display at Lake Worth, in Austria, between May 9 and 12, alongside the already detailed RS4-R and RS5-R. Both premium compact performance models benefit from as much as 530PS (523hp / 390kW) and 690Nm (509lb-ft) of torque from a tuned bi-turbo 2.9-liter V6 engine.

The 80PS (79hp / 59kW) and 90Nm (66lb-ft) of torque power boost is offered alongside other improvements, including a sports suspension and various aftermarket body parts. The RS4-R sits on 20-inch wheels and the RS5-R rides on 21-inch rims shod in 275/25 tires.

In the cabin, the RS4-R and RS5-R sport part-leather seats and carbon fiber trim, alongside other upgrades.
