McLaren, together with Canada distributor Pfaff Automotive, have create five special MSO 570S Spiders, featuring multiple unique design elements that pay tribute to the automaker’s Canadian history.
The cars are designated ‘Canada Commission’ and have Silica White exteriors, exterior trim tinted in red carbon fiber, a white accent stripe on the lower sills, white Canadian flags replacing the 570S script on the door blades, and Canadian Maple Leaf accents on the rear.
Other external features are the Stealth Finish 10-spoke lightweight forged wheels, Carbon Fiber exterior packs and other MSO Defined Carbon Fiber accents.
Inside, it’s mostly black leather and Alcantara, set off by a red Alcantara roof liner, red Alcantara steering wheel with a white ’12-o’clock mark’, plus some subtle maple leaf accents. Each car features a plaque inside so you can identify that it’s a one of five Canada Commission vehicles.
The mods are purely aesthetic
Power comes from a 3.8-liter twin turbocharged V8 engine, mated to a seven-speed automatic gearbox. With the help of 562 HP (570 PS) and 443 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque, the McLaren 570S Spider can accelerate to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.1 seconds and max out at 204 mph (328 km/h) with the roof up.
Three of the five cars will be available for purchase through McLaren Toronto, while the other two will be split among McLaren Vancouver and McLaren Montreal. The price is $353,206 CAD ($280,976 USD) and orders can already be placed.
