We don’t purport to have experienced it (at least not yet…), but we guess that getting configure your car to your desired specification must be one of BMW M ownership’s special moments.
This particular F90 M5 on display in Abu Dhabi might be a stock model, but it’s quite nice all the same. The exterior sports an Azurite Black paint, which has a blue-ish tint whenever hit by sunlight or bright artificial light, yet appears black in the shade.
Other discerning features include the dual-tone 20-inch wheels and the overall interior ambiance, thanks to surfaces trimmed with brown leather with white contrast stitching and black leather with brown contrast stitching.
This car also has carbon fiber on the center console, dashboard and door panels, and an Alcantara headliner.
The 2018 M5 is powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 with 600 PS (592 HP) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. Power is transmitted to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission, and BMW‘s saloon can hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.4 seconds. Its only real rival is the Mercedes-AMG E 63 S, which is a bit more potent and can outrun it in a straight line – but we’re nitpicking here, as we doubt anyone would be left wanting for performance with the new M5.
