Pope Francis rides around in the popemobile but it appears North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un has a very different kind of ride. A poopmobile, if you will.
The Washington Post has extensive coverage of the historic peace talks between the two Koreas and it includes a peculiar tidbit about Kim Jong Un’s portable potty.
According to Lee Yun-keol, who worked in a North Korean Guard Command unit before defecting, “The leader of North Korea has a personal toilet that follows him around when he travels.” Yun-keol went on to say this isn’t just for convenience as “The leader’s excretions contain information about his health status so they can’t be left behind.”
Little is known about the portable toilet but it is reportedly installed in a vehicle that travels in Kim Jong Un’s motorcade. Since the dictator has been seen traveling with an entourage of Mercedes S-Class sedans, Autoblog speculates Kim Jong Un uses one of them to practice his bombing runs.
While everything about North Korea should be taken with a grain of salt, and perhaps some poopourri in this case, the first reports about the toilet car surfaced in 2015. The information was first reported by Daily NK who reportedly learned about the car from defectors and sources from within North Korea.
Kim Jong Un is rumored to be the only person allowed to use the toilet and anyone else who gets a sudden call of nature better think twice as the dictator has a nasty habit of killing of people he doesn’t like.
