Quench Your Need For Speed With This 1992 RHD Mazda RX-7

When it comes to iconic Japanese imports, few vehicles are better than the third-generation Mazda RX-7, which featured Japan’s first-ever mass produced sequential twin-turbocharger system.

This is a 1992 right-hand drive example, imported from Japan in December of last year, according to the Bring a Trailer ad. It’s powered by a twin-turbocharged 13B rotary engine, sending power to the rear wheels exclusively via a 5-speed manual transmission.

The car also features quite a few mods, such as Tien coilovers, a custom exhaust, a Mien ECU and 17-inch black wheels with Yokohama Advan tires. The body is reported to have been repainted in its original shade of black, before welcoming an aftermarket vented hood and bumper (with integrated fog lights) for a little extra aggressiveness.

Inside, you’ll find black cloth seats, but also an aftermarket stereo and shift knob, to go with an HKS boost controller and anodized Sparco steering wheel. The seller says there are 107,000 km (66,486 miles) on the clock, consistent with an odometer inspection performed back in December.

Overall, while we can’t really call this a low mileage car or refer to it as being in mint condition (there’s bubbling on the rear window tint), we reckon some driving enthusiast out there will still enjoy the heck out of it.
