TVR will reveal its new Le Mans race car on April 5, posting a blurry teaser image on its social media channels.
Since its resurrection, British sports car manufacturer TVR has made clear that it wants to return to motorsports and with the new Griffith already underway, it’s time for them to take the next step.
The company’s boss Les Edgar has said in past interviews that TVR’s Le Mans plans will be “front and centre” of its business and the time has come for the world to see their new race car.
The last time we saw a TVR racing at Le Mans was back in 2006 with the Tuscan R. Details on the new race car are unknown at the moment, with Les Edgar saying in an interview last year: “I’ve been to Le Mans for 33 years in a row, I brought Aston Martin back there, the DBR9 was my project. So I know a thing or two about racing at Le Mans.”
However, we do know that Gordon Murray will contribute in the design of the new British endurance racer and we all remember what happened last time when he designed a car that raced in Le Mans.
All we have to do is wait until tomorrow and find out all the details of the new TVR race car.
