A monster it may be, but’s not for everyone, since the price of this pickup truck is €57,900 ($70,339), to which over €20,000 ($24,297) in conversions were added by BBM Morotsport. To put it simply, it’s an $80k Amarok – which might sound much, but in reality is fully justifiable.
So what makes this Volkswagen Amarok so special? Well, plenty of mods, including the lift-kit that raises the entire body by 100mm (3.94mm). Made by Delta 4×4, it costs €2,067 ($2,511) without tax, and is joined by the 18-inch rims shod in 305/60 Cooper STT Pro rubber, for an extra €3,772 ($4,582).
Enhancing the effect of the chunky wheel-tire combo are the extra-wide fenders that add €2,119 ($2,574) to the bill, whereas the 30 mm (1.18-inch) spacer discs cost €297 ($361) for each axle. Additionally, BBM can rise your Amarok by 40 mm (1.57 inches), with a different kit. This will set you back €1,309 ($1,590) and opens up another option: the 305/70-18 Cooper STT Pro tires, which can be had from €4,194 ($5,095).
Checking out the tuner’s list of available parts reveals that the bullbar is €296 ($360), the extra LED lamps cost €648 ($787) (each pair), under-ride guard and rooftop platform add €800 ($972) and €2,400 ($2,916) respectively, and the safari-snorkel is priced at €600 ($729).
BBM Motorsport offers a minor power boost for the Amarok’s V6 TDI. The unit can deliver 265PS (261hp / 195kW) and 620Nm (457lb-ft) of torque, up from the stock 225PS (222hp / 166kW) and 550Nm (406lb-ft), for €790 ($960).
Going for this special look means selecting the vinyl wrap, and in this case, it was applied to the Charcoal matte metallic basic color and features the logos of BBM and their business partners.
