The rivalry between BMW and Audi sometimes goes beyond a friendly chitchat about handling and power – especially when both cars are on a track.
With an Audi RS4, from the B7 generation, breathing down its neck while having fun on the Nurburgring, the driver of this BMW M3 E46 was trying to put as much distance as possible from its challenger.
However, in a split second, the M3 lost traction, and the driver could only hold on for dear life while the car was heading towards the side barrier. The impact was unavoidable, and left the Bimmer heavily bruised.

During this time, the Audi managed to avoid getting tangled in the accident and drove off to avoid a pileup. And so did the BMW M3, but only to the nearest exit, with its owner probably asking himself what kind of damage his prized ride had suffered.
This incident reminds us of yet another crash that occurred a month ago on the same track, in which an M3 E92 driver tried to keep up with the newer M3 ‘Ring Taxi. That outcome was very predictable, too, but if you don’t know what we’re talking about, then you can see for yourselves after checking the video below.
