While most petrolheads would be content with an exotic such as the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, some owners think it’s not exclusive enough. The latest offering from FAB Design caters to their needs.

It’s called Desire, and it’s the tuner’s take on the SLR. A close inspection of the car reveals just how extensively modified it is. From the body kit with that crab-like fascia, to those shiny wheels and overhauled interior, the SLR Desire is even more of a head-turner than the stock model.

Moreover, it’s not all show and no go, as FAB Design decided to boost output from 626 PS (617 HP) and 780 Nm (575 lb-ft) to 750 PS (740 HP) and 1,080 Nm (796 lb-ft). As a result, the naught to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint is dispatched in just 3.6 seconds and top speed reaches 310 km/h (196 mph).

In all likelihood, you’ve never seen one on the move before, so here’s some very juicy footage from the streets of Monaco, where this modded SLR caused quite a stir last weekend blending in perfectly with the Top Marques crowd.

Despite its driver refusing to rev the engine for the camera, we still get a sense of its exhaust note, rumbling even at very low revs or at idle. We also got a good look at its dual-tone white and red interior, which also sports the model’s name and horsepower figure on the center console.
