An Italian exotic and a German sports car got into a serious accident at a roundabout in Tinsley, Sheffield, South Yorkshire two weeks ago, with eyewitnesses saying that both drivers fled the scene.
According to the BBC, the driver of the Porsche, a 26-year old man, eventually returned, displaying just minor injuries – which is fortunate considering how the 718 Cayman rolled over following the impact.
The driver of the Ferrari however remains at large, with South Yorkshire Police urging the public to relay any information they may have regarding this incident. Detectives were said to be keen to talk to anybody who witnessed the “manner of driving prior to the collision.”

Since we’ve yet to find out exactly what happened or who was at fault, all we can do is speculate on the matter. It’s possible that either one or both drivers were speeding, or perhaps one of them failed to yield when entering the roundabout.
All we know is that the impact was so severe, it absolutely totaled both cars. By the way, if we had to guess, we’d say the Porsche was the one who got hit, since it ended up rolling over. With the Ferrari clearly sustaining frontal damage while the Porsche is mostly hit at the rear, this scenario looks entirely plausible.
