While some were celebrating International Workers’ Day by having barbecues, others saw May 1 as the perfect opportunity to take their cars out at the track.
In between abusing the throttle and having a blast, the driver of this Honda S2000 lost control of the wheel. The Japanese roadster was filmed at the Nurburgring earlier this week, having a pinball-like crash and hitting the barriers on both sides before coming to a complete stop.
The video doesn’t show the exact moment when the Honda S2000 lost traction, as this happened right before the left curb, but speed was definitely the major factor that led to the incident. Fortunately, the person behind the wheel appears to be well, despite the severe impact, as he can be seen exiting the vehicle at the end of the footage.

As far as the S2000 is concerned, it doesn’t appear to be a write-off, though it is in dire need of some serious work.
One of the track officials was in the area just as the accident happened, so he started waving the yellow flag, which signals a hazard to the rest of the drivers that promptly slowed down, avoiding yet another accident.
