The all-new 2019 Audi A6 was one of the star attractions at this year’s Geneva Motor Show back in March, boasting an aggressive, yet stylish Prologue-esque exterior, following in the footsteps of its A7 Sportback sibling.
Aside from the fresh styling, the new A6 also boasts an all-digital MMI touch response system, modern connectivity and driver assistance systems, a more comfortable ride and mild-hybrid engines as standard across the range.
Compared to its predecessor, the new model is also larger, measuring 4,939 mm (16.2 ft) in length, 1,886 mm (6.2 ft) in width, while standing 1,457 mm (4.8 ft) tall. All these numbers make the A6 slightly longer, wider and less tall than its direct rivals from BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
The German brand has also gone into detail regarding the A6’s interior color schemes and materials. Aside from the three available color zones, customers can also play around with fine-wood inlays, fine grain ash, fine grain birch and walnut and other decorative trims, before settling on their preferred configuration.
As for the seats, they can be had in Valcona leather, with optional piping and fine perforation. Go for the S sport ones and you get Valcona leather (again) or a combination of leather and Alcantara, where a rhombus pattern and embossed S logos adorn the top ends of the rear seatbacks.
So far, only the regular saloon and estate (Avant) versions have been presented officially, although a sportier S6 has already been caught on camera wearing camouflage. Allroad as well as RS6 versions are also expected to arrive in the not too distant future.
