New Acura RDX Goes On Sale This Friday, Starts From $38,295 [201 Images]

The third generation Acura RDX is more mature than ever, and steps away from the controversial design of its predecessor (yep, it’s beak-less).

Unveiled during the 2018 New York Auto Show earlier this spring, the premium compact crossover is now getting ready to arrive at dealerships nationwide, starting with June 1.

Acura has already paved the road for the new RDX’s journey, by publishing the official pricing list. The most affordable model is offered with FWD and has an MSRP of $38,295, including the $995 destination and handling charge.

Standard equipment includes the AcuraWatch safety gear, panoramic moonroof, LED headlights, True Touchpad Interface and others.

Next comes the 2019 Acura RDX FWD with Technology Package, from $41,495, followed by the A-Spec, which adds a $3,000 premium. The Acura RDX with Advance Package will set buyers back for at least $46,395, whereas the most affordable AWD model can be had from $40,295 in base form, and $48,395 with the Advance Package.

Depending on the selected trim, the new crossover can be fitted with a wide range of accessories. These include the 16-way power adjustable heated and ventilated front seats, 10.5-inch full-color HUD, premium audio system, surround view camera system, Cross Traffic Monitor, Blind Spot information and others. Voice recognition is also part of the equipment list, alongside the Integrated Dynamics System. The latter is standard and brings four driving modes called Snow, Comfort, Sport and Sport+.

Regardless of their choice, customers will have to make do with a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that pushes out 272hp (276PS / 203kW) and 280lb-ft (380Nm) of torque, which works together with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
