Although it’s been replaced by the newer, and faster, Chiron, the Veyron is still one of the best hypercars ever made – and, as such, it is ripe for being copied in a replica. So far, we’ve seen a few attempts item that copied the Bugatti’s lines as closely as possible but, of course, wouldn’t pass close inspection.

It goes without saying that one can’t hope to build anything resembling the Veyron at a reasonable price. Yet, somebody in Russia is looking to unload this unfinished Veyron Super Sport skeleton, which according to Avito, is about 50% ready and allegedly houses a 6.0-liter engine with 1,000 HP and just 100 km (62 miles) on the clock – but we’d take that with a few bucket loads of salt…

We’ve yet to see a truly great replica of the French hypercar, but that’s understandable since there isn’t really a lot of demand for one.

The ad also claims that the finished product would set you back 2,200,000 rubles ($35,000). That, depending on where you stand, is either a lot for a copycat with a front-mounted engine, even if it does churn out a thousand horsepower which, frankly, we can’t imagine how it’d put down…

Yet, it’s not the worst Veyron replica we’ve seen, and we suspect it won’t be the last, either.

Of course, the real Veyron Super Sport is very far removed from all these aftermarket attempts at replicating what Bugatti managed to achieve with their record-breaking hypercar. The real thing features a quad-turbocharged W16 engine with 1,200 PS (1,180 HP) and 1,500 Nm (1,100 lb-ft) of torque, can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.5 seconds and tops out at 415 km/h (258 mph).
