Callaway announced the eye-catching Corvette Aerowagen just a few months after the seventh-generation Corvette was launched. For almost four years, the world waited to see if the vehicle would become a reality and to the surprise of many, it did.

So far, not that many people have had the opportunity to drive the Corvette AeroWagen but Regular Car Reviews was recently given the opportunity to check out the car in person and jump behind the wheel.

The AeroWagen in question is the range-topping SC 757 model, the same variant which Jay Leno and Matt Farah drove last year. As the name implies, the car delivers 757 hp at 6200 rpm and 777 lb-ft of torque at 4500 rpm, all thanks to a 32 per cent larger supercharger, a triple-element intercooler, high-flow air intake system, and a 10-rib drive pulley.

What makes the AeroWagen so unique is the design of its rear hatch. The addition of this bespoke part gives the sports car a Shooting Brake vibe and transforms its entire look. What’s more, the inclusion of the AeroWagen hatch also adds some extra cargo space, making the Corvette that little more practical.

Prices for the hatch start at $14,990. If the customer wants it color matched, that will add $2980 and if the carbon fiber AeroSpoiler is also purchased, it adds $1995 to the total price.
