A security camera in Songkhla, Thailand captured the moment in which an out of control SUV came crashing violently into a building, after its driver failed to take into account the conditions of the road.
The driver only suffered minor injuries, which is a major positive with these types of accidents. It was also a good thing that no pedestrians were standing next to that table, although that scooter will never be the same.
So then what it is with people failing so often to slow down whenever the road surface is slippery? We have seen countless crashes caused by people that decided to drive the wheels off their cars despite rainy, snowy or even icy conditions.
If part of the problem is an irrational trust in the vehicle’s all-wheel drive system, then this issue would probably need to be addressed differently so that people can be more informed in regards to their SUV’s capabilities.
Then again, being careless or negligent isn’t about having too much confidence, but rather about being too impulsive or undisciplined.
Since these are all character traits, and character traits are solidified through repetition, we can then conclude that the person driving this SUV might have had a habit of speeding, and/or not taking into account his surroundings all that well.
