A horrific accident took place in Auburn, Washington last Friday, where the driver of a white pickup truck lost control and slammed into the front of a donut shop.
Two pedestrians could have been killed if it hadn’t been for those concrete curbs the shop installed outside, due to several previous crashes having occurred at that exact location. Thankfully, nobody was injured.
As for the woman who didn’t have time to make it into the store, she was visibly stunned by the near-miss.
“She was so frightened, she was just shaking,” stated the store’s clerk while speaking to Komo News. “She said she could have died, she saw it coming right at her.”
After arriving at the scene, Auburn Police Department officers took the driver of the truck, a male in his 40’s, into custody, charging him with DUI.
In the end, it’s safe to say that both the woman as well as the man owe their lives to those concrete barriers – the woman most definitely. There’s literally nothing any of them could have done, judging by how fast that truck came at them.
As for the driver of the RAM, hopefully he’s driven his last vehicle on public roads, although, you generally need to be a multiple-time offender before this type of drastic legal measure can be taken against you.
