Long before Bentley and Rolls-Royce even considered making the Bentayga and Cullinan, Lamborghini manufactured this: the LM002.

Essentially a military vehicle for the road, the high-riding model was produced between 1986 and 1993. Just a little over 300 examples left the factory, and most are still in perfect running condition.

Famous (or is it infamous?) people associated with the include Libya’s former President, Muammar Gaddafi, who ordered 100 units for the army, and one of Saddam Hussein’s sons, Udday, who owned one, but most of them remain in private collections all over the globe.

The LM002 was nicknamed the Rambo Lambo thanks to its go-anywhere factor, limited production numbers and V12 power.

Lamborghini spared no expense in making the LM002 and chose the 450hp, 5.2-liter V12 engine from the Countach to power it. Keep in mind that it’s over three decades old, so having that much power in an SUV is extremely impressive, even by today’s standards.

The LM002 is not only very powerful and capable to tackle just about any terrain, but also very spacious inside. Of course, it does have some flaws, such as the front visibility, which is partially blocked by the huge hump on the hood.
