Like many high-performance cars out there, the previous-gen Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG has immense tuning potential.
In fact, with the right know-how, it can be get a whole lot faster. Case in point, McChip-DKR’s very own machine, which, in its most potent form, has a whopping 830PS (818hp / 610kW) and 820Nm (605lb-ft) of torque.
As the tuner points out, that’s 373PS (368hp / 274kW) and 220Nm (162lb-ft) of torque more than the stock model, achieved with a supercharger kit, a high-end exhaust system and other parts.
All these upgrades, which enable you to hit a top speed of 320km/h (199mph), will set you back a mind-blowing €92,999 ($109,452) in Germany. To put that number into perspective, it’s more than what a brand new Mercedes-AMG CLS53 4Matic+ costs in its home land (€84,764 / $99,760)!
In fact, the number sounded so absurd to our ears that we actually emailed the tuner to make sure there wasn’t a typo or that a donor car wasn’t included. “The price is only for the tuning job and doesn’t include a full car,” the German company informed us.

For €52,229 ($61,469), or about the price of a new E-Class Cabriolet, the tuner will unleash 762PS (751hp / 560kW) and 810Nm (597lb-ft) of torque from your previous-gen C63 AMG. And if you want something more affordable, paying €25,999 ($30,599) gets you a still very respectable 660PS (651hp / 485kW) and 750Nm (553lb-ft) of torque.
Since not many are willing to pay that much, McChip-DKR offers a Stage 3 upgrade for €9,998 ($11,767), with 583PS (575hp / 429kW) and 692Nm (510lb-ft) of torque. At the same time, Stage 2 costs €5,832 ($6,864) and comes with 570PS (562hp / 419kW) and 688Nm (507lb-ft) of torque.
McChip-DKR’s cheapest tune is Stage 1, which will set you back a mere €1,099 (1,293) and bring an extra 53PS (52hp / 39kW) and 40Nm (30lb-ft) of torque over the stock model’s 457PS (451hp / 336kW) and 600Nm (443lb-ft) of torque. This upgrade also lifts the electronic limiter, so top speed is up to 300km/h (186mph).
See? Money can’t buy you love, but it can get you lots and lots of performance, depending on how much you’re willing to spend.
