Even though Mercedes only recently launched the facelifted versions of their S-Class range, there are customers who apparently couldn’t wait to make a few highly personalized changes.
One such example hails from Hong Kong, where aftermarket specialist Impressive Wrap gave a 2018 Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe a chrome finish. The result is anything but subtle, and we can’t imagine this car flying under the radar no matter where it goes. Which, obviously, was the owner’s intention anyway.
Another reason why this S63 will stand out among other cars is the noise generated by its new 4.0-liter V8 engine, which replaced the old 5.5-liter V8.
Power is now rated at 612 PS (603 HP), while 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque are also on tap. Add it all together and you get a zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) time of 3.5 seconds (0.4 seconds faster than the old model) and an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph), it’s .
Visually, it’s mostly the Panamericana grille that helps us differentiate the 2018 S-Class Coupe from its predecessor as it gives the car a more aggressive look.
If anyone happens to live there and wants to view it in person, they should head on over to the Mercedes Me store in north-west Hong Kong.
