Russian President Vladimir Putin had the chance to show his all-new state Russian-made limo to Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, nicknamed MbZ, during the latter’s visit in Moscow.
The video shows Putin inviting the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi to sit in the back of the new state limo. Once the huge rear doors opened, it revealed a leather-appointed interior with a four-seat configuration in two rows facing each other, just like a proper limo.
“It’s very comfortable,” MbZ tells Putin. According to a translation provided on YouTube, the Crown Prince also commented that it’s better than his Mercedes. If any of our readers could provide a more accurate translation of what was said in the comments, we’d appreciate it.
Putin’s Russian State limo
The new state limousine is part of the Kortezh (Cortege) project, which aims to produce Russian-made vehicles, including a smaller sedan, an SUV and possibly even a minivan. The project only recently got an official name –AURUS.
AURUS is planning to put these limos into very limited production while the upcoming SUV will enter regular mass production and will be freely available to the public.
Russian officials have still to reveal any technical details of the new state limo, which is rumored to be the largest of its kind in the world and be powered by a turbocharged V12 with over 800hp. In fact, Porsche is responsible for the development of the new limo’s powertrain.
According to several reports, details of Putin’s latest ride will be made public at the end of August, during Moscow’s Auto Show.
