Renault has released a single teaser image, previewing its new crossover coupe model that’s going to be unveiled at the 2018 Moscow International Motor Show.
The French car maker didn’t reveal much about its new model, apart from saying that it is a global C-SUV model and that it will be manufactured at its Moscow plant.
“The new vehicle will be a real breakthrough for the Russian SUV-market, strengthening the leadership of Renault Russia in this promising, fast-growing segment,” said Renault in its press release. “The launch of this global model will open a new chapter in the history of not only Renault Russia.”
The new model will be presented in the form a near-production concept and will reportedly adopt a more dynamic SUV Coupe styling. The teaser image partially reveals the front end, which features Renault’s latest design cues, such as the C-shaped LED daytime running lights.
The new crossover will be built at the same plant with the Kaptur, a longer and wider version of the Euro-spec Captur that comes with all-wheel drive.
Renault’s first crossover coupe will most likely gun for a more upmarket positioning in the C-SUV segment, offering more kit and luxury features than the Kaptur.
The 2018 Moscow International Motor Show opens its gates on August 29, so stay tuned.
