As an official sponsor of the Spanish national team, Seat saw fit to highlight the country’s diversity by using a poem talking about the power of soccer (that’s football to non-U.S. fans), among other things.

Spain kicks off its on-the-pitch 2018 World Cup campaign against Portugal on Friday, June 15. Meanwhile, the off-the-pitch campaign still features players such as David Silva, Koke, David de Gea, Sergio Busquets and Marco Asensio.

“I’m a city boy. I’m a country boy. I’m a homeboy. I’m a football fan. Let’s be part of something big.”

That’s one of the verses dedicated to the team in the TV spot, which you can watch below. As you can imagine, both Seat as well as the national team represent two of Spain’s most prized “exports” to the rest of the world.

“With this campaign we want to strengthen support for the Spanish National Football Team on the eve of the competition kick-off,” stated Seat exec Mikel Palomera. “We want to be closer to people and remind them of the sense of unity and teamwork that the National Team promotes.”

Last month, the Spanish automaker announced that it will be sponsoring the national football team until March 2021. Their agreement includes promotional activities with players, as well as retaining the status of official car for the national team.

Spain won the FIFA World Cup back in 2010 and the UEFA European Championship in 1964, 2008 and 2012. So, can they win again in Russia this year and add yet another trophy to their cabinet?
